I've already donated a bunch of dishes and mugs and a nice comforter and I'm going shopping for sheets, socks and underwear! :D

DON'T GET ME STARTED - uh oh - here I go..............I was over at my boyfriend's parents for Christmas a couple of years ago and they gave him a brand-new dish set thing - you know, dishes, saucers, bowls mugs - WITH A HIDEOUS FRUIT PATTERN THEM. I was beside myself I hated it so much but TOM FREAKING LIKED IT and gave me all his old dishes which were a beautiful stoneware and southwest pattern - alas, living alone with a penchant for frozen dinners and eating out I get by with two or three plates and bowls - so all I've had all those great dishes in my closet forever. WOW NOW SOME HURRICANE EVACUAEES CAN USE THEM - oh I tell you flamingyouth, I love it now that my dish story has a good ending. :D

4. I have some clothes that are in good condition and a few other things

I can mail them if you let me know what is needed.

7. well we just received the notice of what will be needed

no specifics on ages and stuff like that - I am hoping to be able to take some of them out for some Tex-Mex at the local eateries, and maybe if there are teenagers, take them to the mall for some cool school clothes

8. I'm kind of worried about them

this is a bit of a conservative, snooty area - they will be like fish out of water - I still feel that way after living here over ten years. :o
