New Orleans' Nero (warning - graphic)
While the waters rose



He strummed and posed



While looters rampaged



He smiled and played



While they grew thin



He picked and grinned



While New Orleans drowned



He plucked and clowned.





If this upsets you, it should. This all happened while Mr. Bush was receiving that nice new guitar as a gift from an admiring country singer.

Of course, he was far too busy to be bothered with things like leadership, concern, compassion, or even pretending that any of it mattered. Like a latter-day Nero, he made no secret of his indifference to the suffering of the very people he is sworn to protect.
