7. telling, but the guy is a little full of himself
in particular I didn't care for this comment:

"And it was evident that Andy and I were merely two specs of salt in a sea of pepper. Not only would we have to wait forever, but more than anything, we would probably suffer dire conditions after it would be obvious that we wouldn't "fit in"....

what happened in New Orleans during Katrina. It could be made into a documentary by Ken Burns

13. from the caption of the third photo from the end:
"I don't remember much after I turned on the ignition. We drove towards the Westbank where we had "heard" that there was a way out. It was true. However, we had no gas and the tank was on "E". Thirty miles outside of Baton Rouge, and 45 minutes after riding on "E", we found a gas station... they didn't take cash. A man paid for our gas with his credit card and for 5 others."

:wtf:

:wow:

22. Yeah, for the first day or so of gas lines - no cash
I thought it was weird. Part of why I didn't even try to get in line in the first few days.

For anyone who knows the Quarter and CBD pretty well, this is the first time I've seen anything that shows what happened in and around the area.

Finally saw the street and area where I share an apartment on Chartres Street.

This is photo-journalism at its best... by a hotel worker at that. Get a firsthand local's view of his evacuation.

25. His photos were fine but his commentary became tedious and annoying.
I agree with above poster, "two specks of salt in a sea of pepper," give me a break. Also, how many times did he mention the words "loot, looting, looter"? I wasn't surprised to discover he's a white male.

Oh, and that "divine intervention" crap? Excuse me, the time for divine intervention was before Katrina hit, not during and not after.

Maybe Jesus didn't get smacked because none of the trees were planted close enough to hit the statue when they fell.

Sorry, I'm not impressed.
