US Military Smuggled Vacationers Out Of Superdome
--"The military got us out, which we were all thankful for"

--Jenny Sachs 06 Sep 2005

Jenny Sachs, of Sheffield, told how soldiers had to smuggle her out of the New Orleans Superdome in secret.

She was one of about 30 Britons who, realising they could not escape the city, had fled to the stadium for shelter. The military told all non-US citizens to stay together for safety, Ms Sachs added. They later told them they would be secretly smuggled out in groups of 10 under cover of darkness as it had become too dangerous for them to remain in the stadium, she told BBC News.

11. Now look y'all...
The ENTIRE SCENARIO is what was wrong. These foreign nationals were America's GUESTS and I, for one, have no problem with them being repatriated safely to their homes. Their diplomats got the runaround when they did THEIR duty to account for them.

3. looks like they just
lumped the poor and the thugs together in one big conclusion.

that's truly racist. I'm sure the majority of the poor were prey for the thugs.

I hope to hell they get those scum sucking animals, but they are in every poor area in every city.

But, to make the black poor pay for the thugs is racist and outrageous.

8. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
"There is a gathering here of hurricane victims testifying to the TV cameras about their difficulty in getting out of New Orleans.

Probably about 200 people.

There's a lot of mainstream press here and a lot of people with signs that say shame...

Now they are walking across the street and standing directly in front of the White House and screaming, "Shame on Bush"."

10. Well, they are foreign citizens.
Bush knows enough to make sure he doesn't abuse Tony Blair's people. They don't deserve to be herded into stadiums and starved to death like Americans.
