Sadly, 99% of the people who do that get turned away... However, for the rich and famous, it's a great way to help.

I have done work for two major charities as an accountant in the past. Believe me, there are ways to hide that even when reporting massive line items in overhead. And, several do.

but, not wanting another warning or post pulled, I'm leaving that for the moment. Look at the lists of % used for overhead that groups do with these charities and that is the first clue.
