"In the post 8/29 Era"

Okay, we all know how the Bush Crime Family has invoked 9/11 ad nauseum. I can't tell you how many times I've heard Laura Bush or some other Bush apologist say "Since September 11" or "In the post 9/11 world..."

So my question is, how will they use Katrina to their advantage?

What will they come up with to say "Since August 29" or "In the post-Katrina United States..."

Because you know they're gonna do it; they just haven't figured out how.

A photo montage of the misery of the hurricane interspersed with the photos of Georgie eating cake and playing guitar.

But my point is that the Bushies will find some way to use it to their political advantage, just like they did 9/11.

So, the question is, HOW will they? What do you think they will come up with?

Instead, the government will fund faith based initiatives and private contractors to provide emergency services. From there, we are a step away from the private sector determining what infrastructure improvements are necessary for the public good and what improvements are not. The Corporatist State will then be firmly established, and the common man well fucked over.

The though behind this thread is very good.

How about the Bush Administration "did a Katrina on that"? In other words, Bozo and company did nothing.
