What is the best way to make sure your remains can be
identified? I live on Gulf Coast and am required to work at a special needs shelter during hurricanes. I would like my wife to be able to collect my life insurance if I get killed without waiting years. So what works best? Dental x-rays, computer chip, dog tags???

2. Didn't that take ages in New York? I'd like them to be able to
identify me as soon as I float up.

3. Neh....
Morbid thought. Dental's usually used in murders, or so I read... not sure about computer chips....I'd go with the dog tags.

4. I wear a medical ID necklace...
even though I don't have any life threatening medical conditions. It is a metal capsule marked with a medical alert stamp. It has a peep hole magnifier in one end that if you look through you can see all my personal information, emergency contact info, and health insurance info. All this is printed on a small transparent chip -- smaller than a contact lens. I bought it a few years ago because I live by myself. No guarantee it wouldn't get yanked off in a big disaster but short of a tatoo it was the best thing I could think of.

7. We should learn a lot about how long tatoos last on corpses
bloating in the water in a hot climate from this horror. I'm not sure it'd last.

6. Someone on another link suggested putting wrist hospital-like
tags on you and all your family members with all information. Make sure they are waterproof.

8. There's a thought. I just thought of having the back of my
