When did W finally kick his PR machine into action and 'respond'? Friday
When do they dump news that they don't want anybody to notice? Friday

When do they dump news that they REALLY don't want anyone to see? Friday before a holiday weekend.

And when do they dump news that they are certain nobody WILL see? On a holiday, like Labor day.

I'm sure cable news ratings are up this week, but I doubt everybody is watching it all weekend to catch Rove's spin. If people managed to still get out of town this weekend, most of them haven't watched much news on TV since Thursday evening. After watching the disaster unfold all week, your average American probably has a bit disaster fatigue by now, too (As a nation, we have a severe case of ADD).

But they've got the gas price to remind them all weekend about what they saw last week.
