This weekend RAGE

I spent this weekend in LA at a gaming convention where you could feel the anger under the rolling of dice and the consulting of hit locations. People are ANGRY.

Of course you could also feel the they did not come in time because them folks were black. Yes people openly talked about the racism... and did such very openly, black, white, latino, did not matter.

One of the retailers, she decided to donate all her proceeds from this con to the victims, I never took my change back... and most of us were talking on how this could drive the country to a depression.

A young kid who supports bush, well I told him I'll dive him to the recruiter and we really don't want to listen to his BS no more. He got very defensive once he realized he was in a room with oh at least 40 commies who were in lynching mood.

The kid actually detected my accent and started going off on how them darn foreigners were ruining the country... I had it, and unloaded on him... and then went back to my demo, and the players said, thanks for saying what we feel we should but can't... oh I could have made a Marine blush... to say the least I was not alone... I don't think that kid will be coming back to that liberal con... he is a hard core bush supporter even now... and even folks who ARE active duty and who were waiting for activation orders, went on him... and actually told him SHUT the F... up with more colorful language than even I could... what I saw this weekend was raw, unrestrained rage. It is not anger any more, it is rage.

1. "...at least 40 commies who were in lynching mood."
Thanks, gave me the only smile of the day.

Your offer to drive the bush* supporter to a recruiter was most generous. Can't understand why he didn't take you up on it! ROFL!

2. I make those offers often
heck I did not have my customary recruiting form... or I would have shoved it in his face...

There were other issues... that made that con be not so much fun but this one... well you know we are all commies and hate this country... you missed the memo? He was saying that even now

3. You're not alone nadin. Good work!!!
It's everywhere. * is finished. It can only get worse as the background of the surface stories emerges. It will be devastating and a rolling trauma for America to see every night on the tee-vee. Yup, no TV Trance anymore. Sit down and take your just deserts.

It's just starting to get ugly, the rage is just beginning to build, the people are disgusted. The whole "looter" thing fizzled after people had a minute to think...hey, they're taking diapers, water, food. It's not looting, it's desperation to survive, the will to live on.

I'm proud of you for speaking up and telling the unvarnished truth.

5. One note and this is from actually working real disasters
where the stories came from was not the majority of the so called looters. I have done disaster planning in the past... and the reason you want the military armed to the teeth from word go is your max 5% of any populattion that does not play well with others.

So there was some of what was reported, but the numbers were very low... and they happened because the military was not involved early enough... that was one of the side conversations today with a recently retired Lt. Col who was also almost in tears... of cousre that was a conversation we had on the side, with nobody else around...

Just to make sure you understand where that grain of truth lies... few, far between but it does happen, and where they dropped the ball... the N.Guard should have moved right after the winds stopped, alas the MPs are in Baghdad, teh Civil Affairs Unit is in Baghdad, and the Governor requested those troops three days before Katrina hit.

4. That's beautiful, thanks...
The absolute rage I feel is simmering. I'm really tryng to keep busy so I don't fly off the handle at hubby or kids... (well, there was that one tirade earlier today...)

All I can say is that I hope this leads to CHANGE - change in the administration via impeachment or resignation, change in how we treat one another as human beings...

6. Good. Stomp him flat
I've had it with these fucktards. Being so stupid that he slept through his American Civics class and is unaware of the basic precepts of his own country's foundation, he deserves everything he gets. Thanks for saving me the trouble, one less idiot to deal with.
