On Capitol Hill
The goofs in the three-piece suits
Are writing tariff-tax bills
And none of them seem to notice
That our country is very ill
And they never blame the POTUS
Cuz the fools on the Hill
See their stocks going up
While us commoner folk
See the world blowing up!

Deep in denial
Heads up their ass
Our reps and our senators--
Each one a snake in the grass!
And none of them seem to like him
Yet they bend to his twisted will
And he doesn't like them either
Yet these fools on the Hill
See them all going down
On the clown with the crown
While the world's burning down

And they'll never listen to us
You know they never will
They'll just screw us
The fools on the Hill
Are all legally blind
See, the eyes in their heads
Only see money signs

In case you didn't get my last: I am SO GLAD they found your wife's family, dude!
As far as this one, no recording; I do have other stuff (I write music, sing and play keys), and I used to write parodies of this sort quite a few years back with great frequency...
One I DID produce, but can't convert to a digital file presently, was a take-off on Willie Nelson's On the Road Again... too bad, cuz I can do his voice to a T... it was back in the days of Perot's second bid for the presidency, and it went a lil somethin' like this:

It's Perot again
I can't wait to support Perot again
Even though I know he probably won't win

He's come back to fight
Will he stay awhile?--perhaps he might
He's for little guys--in fact, he's one himself
And I don't mind that the man looks like an elf

Now he's joined the fray
He's got guts and bucks and ears beyond belief
But anyway
'Least he's not an actor or some dumb ex-chief
Of the CIA

It's Perot again
I can't wait to give him a go again
I just hope that he don't quit AFTER he wins
And I can't wait to support Perot again

to Jeff Parish, maybe they'll pick up their answering machine & get our message. That's what we're hoping for now. Hopes are good enough, I was raised lutheran & pretty much atheist now.
