Danielle Elsberg offers eerily distinct similarities between the Nixon White House attempts to smear and discredit him and the Bush White House attempts to smear and discredit Wilson.

And, John Dean offers an insider's view of how best to put the "stuck pig" into Bush's vocabulary over his criminal and civil liabilities with respect to his attempts to smear and discredit Amb. Wilson and his wife.

will subscribe to Salon. While they occasionally have idiot stories from idiot pug/neocons, on balance they offer some of the best and most insightful writing we could have out there. We don't want to lose this resource, IMO

2. Excellent and terrifying

Both Dean and Ellsberg offer keen historical insight into the similarities between the vile Nixon whitehouse and the vile Bush whitehouse. These pieces should be required reading for all Americans.
