Why am I a bit perturbed by the new Afghani Constitution?

Hey ya'all

I don't mean to be "sexist", but why am I concerned about the Afghani Constitution? I mean...it's intentions are good...however, if I were a radical fundamentalist in Afghanistan, I wouldn't sit down and allow this to happen considering we're losing a lot of ground there.

Now, I know that not every Muslim in the world are strict adherents to Islam. However, are the people in Afghanistan strict adherents to Sharia?

1. A constitution don't mean nothin' without the consent of the people

It's just words on paper if it doesn't reflect the will of the people and if it isn't implemented by the government. There are plenty of places with perfectly lovely consitutions that have been rendered perfectly empty. Ours is in danger of becoming just that.

Otherwise, celebrate a more humane, modern, civilized attempt at government
