Just stopped over to visit my parents. My mom was glued
to Faux "news" and immediately told me what a great job
Bill O’Reily was doing. How he "told it like it is".
“No one could have stopped the flooding in New Orleans,
or gotten those people out. Why didn’t the people leave
when they were told to!?”

I didn't feel like another argument, so I bit my tongue.

I walked into the kitchen, and on the kitchen table was
a copy of AARP Magazine with a huge photo of Condi Rice
on the cover!! The caption read: "How Condi got tough!".

My mother is being brainwashed from every angle.

Thank God my father is still middle of the road and we
can at least talk about issues.

The retired Army colonel who's completely brainwashed by Rush/ O'Reilly/ AARP/ etc. I can't even talk politics with him or we will have no relationship. My mom's tired of being the intermediary.

my mother is too. She listens to the teevee 'preachers' and o'liely.
it's sad. she told me how 'sinful' the city was.

He said the other day that Bushit has done the best he could do and "even Bill Clinton said that Bush had done all he could do." I thought it was strange that he invoked Bill Clinton because only a few weeks ago, he was telling me again what a big liar BC is. So, when he told me that even BC said Bush had done all he could do, I said, "Bill Clinton said that? Well, we all know what a liar he is, right?" :sarcasm:
