once the water receded the people were allowed to return to their land. Apparently they have no intention of letting the people of NO go back to their land anymore.
3. the calmness of the people waiting for help to get out - spiritual
I found myself thinking of God smiling - proud of his chosen people - while watching those calling themselves christians acting so horroid
that is why I was thinking of that movie - that God is watching - but they were watching God also
There is book Joshua - shows the return of christ and how the christians treated him since they could not recognize him - he comes back as a poor person who helps others - very interesting
6. took me awhile to GET that line when I read the book
Came to me in a dream about the way the flood was described, about her and her husband and the rabid dog struggled to stay afloat, bodies going by them.
as a part of a Southern Literature class at Brevard Community College. The author, Zora Neil Hurston was the librarian at Patrick Air Force Base back in the 50's. I think the hurricane in the book took place either in the 20's or 30's. The book was not critically acclaimed because it was in the African American vernacular but later it did get critical acclaim.
