1. Who only knows where we would be today
If he had kept his fucking mouth shut and endorsed Al Gore like everybody else 5 years ago.

2. I still don't think the maniacal Stalin-figure cares, though.
I like how his co-maniacs like to say that 2000 was so far in the past that we shouldn't talk about it, now that thier violent plans are starting to show results.

Dems may not be perfect but I guarantee you we wouldn't have attacked Iraq and let our own suffer and die in New Orleans.

5. He's Right
What it also takes if for some red states to recieve the same failed leadership we have received in the blue states. This was no different that what Bush pulled on 9/11.

Sucks that people have to die before they see the error of their ways. This tragedy goes back to every issue that we liberals have been screaming our heads off about.

Lack of funding to first responders.

Global warming. Katrina was a Cat 1 when is skimmed florida. It gained strength in the gulf and scientists have been complaining for years that the water is getting warmer. If you don't think that this storm wasnt on steroids, you better think again.

Also, Bush's raiding the National guard to send them to Iraq. Where are all of our hellecopters?

15. I think so
Some of them will.

Yet with the Dems still trying to find a spine and contemplating moving further to the right; I dont see many of them endorsing this party. Part of the problem is that on the issues they dont see a difference.

Of course I highly doubt that Dems would be stupid enough to slash funding to Fema and the engineers. As they stand right now, they arent going to attack global warming perpitrated by company and cars polluting the atmosphere. That measn getting tough on big business.

What about poverty as well? THe reason why many people stayed is bacause they are poor and dont own transportation. Nor to they have mony for hotels when all the shelters are filled up.

The is a perfect example of where Dems will not win voters by trying to act like Republicans. Every problem you see in Louissianna has been discussed by the left. Sticking in a liberal direction gives voters a place to turn to when the conservative whacko party fails.

24. Want to explain why fuel efficiency
standards havent been improved since the eighties?

Yeah, that does bear some responsibility for this hurricane. The water temps in the gulf have been going up. That's why this storm went from cat 1 to a cat 5 AFTER nipping Florida. Why do you think, with the onslaught of Global warming, fuel efficeincy stards havent changed?

This was after eight years of CLinton.

Difference between the parties? Why after 9/11 were democrats so willing to engage in a right wing foreign policy in Iraq? How many of them were willing to give their votes authoriinf the use of force in Iraq?

Many liberals in the party were screaming out about it and very few of them listened. Given the party had a major anti Iraq war slant, Kerry argued that he could fight a better war in Iraq than Bush.

How about just saying "Your a liar and we're getting the fuck out!!!!"

There are some differences. Just to bad those differences aren't big enough on those issues.

Dennis Kucinish wins best quote of the year on this one; "Indifference is a weapon of mass destruction"

FEMA and Army Corps of Engineers funding, for one. So the notion that there's no difference is a deadly lie.

30. ANd fuel efficiency standards?
The waste from you exhaust pipe is a steroid for hurricanes. It reduces the Ozone and creates warmer ocean water.

Is there a difference between the parties on this one. We had eight years of Clinton and nothing done about it.

Do you believe Global Warming is causing these storms to get stronger?

Nader is not a liar. He has done more in his lifetime to keep you alive than both major parties combined. I suggest you read "Unsafe at any speed".

Stalin.

He doesn't scream so much as he fucks stuff up and does stuff that ends up putting people in the ground.

And molests college students. Ideologically, of course. But he's still a political pedophile.

16. Nader got it wrong on tweedle dum and tweedle dee
Let's say your car blows out a tire. That is life under Republican rule.... driving on 3 wheels. Now let's say you get a dinky donut spare and put it on your car. Now you have life under most Dem offerings for President.

I say give me a new *&^*$@! tire, the right size to do the job.

If I have appendicitis, don't give me a friggin band-aid.. get me surgery!

20. It's not the difference between a band-aid and surgery.
For thousands of people now, it has been the difference between life and death.

Your tire metaphor is incomplete, because you left out the part about how it's impossible to get a "new tire" because Nader didn't have a chance of doing anything but messing up life for thousands of people.

I have more useful things to do right now.. like write to people on the Hill to chew them out over this mess. You are welcome to sit here spinning your dinky donut tire in the mud, or maybe you can help out.
