5. His mother (Gloria) is broke and, as of last year, was living with him.
She was scammed by an investment firm and lost her fortune or what remained of it. He may have had money in trust. So he's not super wealthy but he's wealthy.

Thanks for the correction. Interesting how the fortunes of the very wealthy eventually redisperse themselves, after going to so much trouble to accumulate it.

4. I admire him for standing up to the status quo, especially at CNN.
Could it be that itis because he is independently wealthy in his own right, and does not have to worry about keeping his job?

But, a lot of major anchors are millionaire's too, and they are some of the biggest Bush Shills around...

I dunno. I only know I admire courage and compassion wherever I see it, and I have seen it from Cooper during this crisis, for sure.
