Fox will probably have to fire Shepard Smith after this week
Shep is from Mississippi and an Ole Miss grad. New Orleans is his favorite city, and he has been there hundreds of times.

Since Monday, he has been telling it like it is. You can tell this is eating his insides out. Look for him to be fired or sent off to re-education for a few weeks.

I had no Idea he was an ole miss frat guy.

YAY! Ole Miss in the House

Ole Miss has been recruiting volunteers to help disaster victims since MONDAY morning.

I am so proud of my school for caring so much.

14. I saw him in his Ole Miss garb
at the Auburn-Ole Miss game a few years ago. Can't remember if it was 01 or 03, but Eli was your QB so it had to be one of those years

3. I sent Fox News an e-mail
praising Shep's first person account of the devastation. Hope they keep him on. A voice of reality at faux news.

4. I agree that he has done a good job this week
you can see the pain in his eyes as he tells of the struggles people are going through.

6. he probably had big plans for
"southern decadance" since he spends so much time "falling off bar stools" at The Townhouse in manhattan.

8. Is that a gay bar?
I've heard rumors about Shep.

Maybe he'll come out and be gay, proud, and liberal. I won't hold my breath though.

9. I dont care what he does in his private life
what I have seen this week was a person who was truly upset about what was happening to his fellow Americans.

7. Today
Today they were talking with Chris Wallace and they were asking him if there was any way he could have a 9-11 moment with this disaster. I was just sick listening to it, what can the great leader do to make himself look like he cares about what is happing. To his credit, Wallace basically said there was no way he could use this in the same way that he used 9-11. I know this has been said already but once again this is another example of how incompentent this guy is.

12. Fox has had some of the best reporting with Shep.....
but I'm afraid you're right. Both he and Geraldo will be cut back soon.
In fact, if they ever do get those people off the concrete, we will see no more substantial coverage of this topic from faux. The spin has already started.

18. I've been pretty much avoiding Fox
so I'm quite surprised about Shep but I did see Geraldo on tonight and he was basically sobbing on the air begging for help while holding a little baby. I'm guessing neither will be Murdock employees for long

16. Shep has been among the best reporters in the whole Media on this
He is telling it like it is. It is obvious that he cares. Anyone who has seen him---he is not letting Hannity or any other FOX windbag sitting in NYC spin this---should be impressed. This is First Class reporting. Among reporters in NO, he has been among the most informative, most honest and most caring.

I have gained ALOT of respect for him.

19. I saw Jack Cafferty on yesterday
and I've never seen an analyst get this angry on the air, I thought he was going to throw out some profanity. He was pissed at Bush and the rest of the government response

22. I was never a fan of Shep..
but I have to say he's been amazing throughout this entire tragedy. It's refreshing (and surprising) to see some good, honest reporting. Incredible that's it's coming from Faux News.

23. Shep and Geraldo were going off on Hannity...
Sean did seem to know how to deal with it other than to cut to break...

Covering this is radicalizing the media in a dramatic fashion...

25. Shep has been on the street with the people all week.
He has been telling the truth about what they're going through and all the mistakes made by FEMA. He has been screaming at Sean Hannity, O'Lielly, and all the other Faux whores. It's been amazing.

27. wow
my dad had mentioned this to me earlier today, and I basically asked him "Shepherd Smith, are you sure. . . because that just can't be right, surely somebody else."

I'm glad to see it posted because I really didn't consider it to be even within the realm of possibility.

If it's happened to Shepherd Smith. . . the possibilities are endless.
