Ok, folks. Here it is. The ultimate Clark conspiracy theory.
This is a posting I stumbled across while doing an Altavista search for Clark stuff.

And, before you read it, please take a moment to realize that THIS is what we're fighting against. No matter what you think of Clark, this is the kind of people who vote for BushCo. This is what we ALL have to deal with next November.

Sorry for the length. I felt that the full posting was necessary to get the full effect of this nutcase.

Contributed by Rob Jussaume (robertjussaume@yahoo.com) on October 3, 2002.

Wesley Clark is not out of the game yet. I suspect him of being the mastermind of the 9/11/01 attacks, as well as the current sniper siege of the East Coast (written 10/02).

I started thinking along these lines when people pointed out that the WTC/Pentagon attacks reminded them of the choice of targets in the 1999 Kosovo War. Hmmm...

Who else combines a Top Secret clearance with a Rolodex of terrorist friends (including KLA), a resentment of Pentagon brass, experience in political violence, and a partisan hatred of GW Bush?

During the Kosovo War, Gen. Clark tried to start a war with the Russians by bombing the units they sent to Kosovo. If all the 9/11 planes had hit their targets, we would have gone to our highest strategic alert--and Russia would have been the adversary. As it was, the perps nearly killed Rumsfeld and traumatized the whole country through the media coverage. President Putin VOLUNTARILY took the Russian forces off of high alert, which is the only thing that prevented THE BIG ONE.

A few days later, a Croatian hijacked a passenger bus and crashed it in Texas. Clark has many Croatian contacts, including the commander of Operation Storm.

It's entirely possible that the "supreme being" (God forgive me for saying it, even as a joke) has accomplices in the Active Duty armed forces. They can will help him with staging areas, convenient delays, etc.

Another suggestive factoid: the Joint Chiefs of Staff had a creepy plan in 1961-- to attack Americans and make it look as if Cubans did it. This was Operation Northwoods. What's to stop a retired 4-star, with no scruples, from dusting off a Cold War provocation scheme and putting it into effect?

I'd love for the FBI to call General Clark in for questioning.

There you have it. Clark is responsible for 9/11 and the sniper attacks on the East Coast. Oh, and for good measure, he's also responsible for a hijacked bus in Texas. I'm sure he's responsible for Waco, Ruby Ridge, and the Oklahoma City bombings, too. He also takes candy away from babies and kicks kittens and puppies. Repeatedly.

I initially hesitated to post this for pretty obvious reasons. First, the guy is obviously a nutball. Second, I hate to give any right-wing wacko any press or attention whatsoever. Third, I was afraid that we'd see plenty of quotes from the original article this forum is responding to - a decidedly psychotic anti-Clark zealot - as "proof" of Clark's inadequacy as a candidate in future postings on DU.

But, my morbid desire to share this with DU'ers got the best of me. And, while I am likely going to vote for Clark at primary time, I think that this epitomizes what we're really fighting against - not just Clark, but all of the candidates. We need to realize that we're all a lot more alike than we sometimes like to believe, as are our candidates, especially compared to this guy. And, trust me, there are a lot of people out there just like him.

FYI - there are some pretty interesting comments by other posters on that same page - http://greenspun.com/com/zpub/un/clark.html. It makes the "heated" conversations here at DU look so completely rational.

You can't create a proper Republican conspiracy theory without black helicopters and Hillary Clinton. This rule has been in effect for at least 10 years.

The ones that blame Clark for the corruption at BCCI, for instance. I'm not kidding.

Hillary's place in the primary line. The people who think he's going to bow out once he has a huge lead so that she can run just amaze me.

10. About, ohhhh, two weeks ago...
I went public with a rumor I heard, regarding Clark. The rumor was that he used one of those Chinese Monkey-Brain tables, suitably modified, to eat the brains of children for breakfast.

Well, there is an update:

Seems that since he is on the go all the time now, he needed a new way to get his morning nutrition. Now, he simply drills a hole in the childrens heads and sucks their brains out with a soda straw. The perfect on-the-go meal.

You heard it here first.

Edited on Thu Oct-02-03 10:48 PM by Tinoire
So we've got Soros, with his billions in Carlyle, trying to buy his friend the election this year?

No wonder Clark thinks so highly of these PNACers!

James Baker, Carlucci, the Bin Ladens, George Bush Sr.

You really gotta love these guys. These... peace makers who have realized that they need to hedge their bets in both parties because Bush has blown the game.

This all reeks to high heaven.

and gives us a pro-choice, pro-LGBT, pro-environment, pro-capitalism liberal government. Foreign policy and trade agreements will continue to be decided by the "responsible" establishment players.

19. Oh how silly
There is no conspiracy anywhere. They just don’t exist.
JFK RFK and MLK were all killed by a “lone assassin” and anyone that believes otherwise is un-American and a nut.
Arnold and Clark entering the political world make sense because the press likes them and that is all. And if the press likes them the people will like them too. Repugs do not manipulate and play dirty tricks and no one has any proof that they do. Zero proof that is what they have zero proof.

27. That's pretty humorous.
I especially like, "'He hates America, I just know it. You can see it in his eyes', blasts an admitted registered Democrat, a blind woman, at a pro-troop rally in Ohio."

Kind of reminds me of the people who say (frankly, about ANY candidate), "I just don't trust him. He gives me a bad feeling." and provide no reasons why. I've seen that line used on at least half the candidates in the race.

28. I can hear the cuckoo singing in the cuckooberry tree...
I will be the first to admit that I'm not a Clark supporter, but I barely know what to say about this one. (Actually, what I would say is: Considering how Clark seems to have "out of nowhere," I'm surprised that any freeper knew who he was a year ago, let alone being able to build an entire conspiracy around him.)

What that post really reminded me of was something on alt.conspiracy in mid-1997, claiming that the CIA poisoned Mother Teresa to get the world spotlight off the murder of Princess Diana by the Scottish, Canadian, and Israeli security services...

31. Clinton endorsement of Clark will keep the RW Hate Machine going..
full-throttle. The right-wing propaganda machine has invested a lot in brainwashing the sheep against Clinton and the intensity of hate I hear from coworkers towards Clinton continues to surprise me.

When Bush was selected, I said to myself 'well, one good thing is I won't have to hear anymore tiresome Clinton bashing' -- of course I was wrong. I believe this machine is more than just a nuisance; it's counterproductive to any real progress or maturity of public discourse.

They will hate whatever Dem gets elected, of course, but it will take some time for them to build up steam against someone like...Dean.

33. Regardless of whether Clinton endorses Clark or not,
the RW hate machine will blame Clinton for everything as long as they and/or Clinton are alive, especially with Hillary in the Senate and a potential presidential candidate **someday**.

To do otherwise is to acknowledge that they have destroyed the prosperity that was generated during Clinton/Gore, whether Clinton really deserves credit for it or not.
