2. What is her problem??
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 05:13 PM by msgadget
She can't get her lips off his butt long enough to even PRETEND the appearance of paying attention isn't more important than actually acknowledging how gruesome things are. All hail the right!

9. Uh, why can't I attack whomever I choose,
especially when they stand beside the man gushing and grinning at a time like this? Thanks, but I don't need you to tell me where to direct my ire.

7. Is she a DINO?
When I first saw her, I didn't know if she was Dem or Rep...I had a gut feel she was a Rep. She seemed rather weak in this whole situation. She's the one that could have DEMANDED Nat'l Guard on Tuesday. She's the damn Gov.!

15. She could have mobilized the
LA national guard on Sunday.

She shares responsibility with the federal government for them.

On the other hand, I just get the impression that Nagin and Blanco are somewhat out of their depth.

12. One of the things that Blanco said in the last couple of days made
me realize that both she and Landrieu are under tremendous pressure to make nice with the bastard in chief or their state will suffer the consequences. At one point she said (perhaps in answer to a question, but definitely off the cuff), "We have to watch our rhetoric...."

That's not something a politician in her position would say, IMO, if there weren't some damned good reason for it -- a threat or a perceived threat.

EVERYONE knows how vindictive the bastard in chief is.

18. It's called
diplomacy!
I would appreciate if you don't attack my Governor. She does what she has to do to get the aid she needs to help her people. There is only so much she can do with the limited resources she has/had.* didn't even take her call on Tuesday, she had to talk to one of 'his people'.We all know how he treats people who critize him.
She spoke to the pResident on tv to send help NOW,TODAY.The same goes for the Major of NO.He's been screaming for days.Nobody in DC gives a shit about the South. It is more obvious every day!
