Connecticut DUer's (Local station took three calls praising Bush)
Every now and then I turn on 92.5 (Country Music) just to see what's going on over there. (For the record, I dispise 90% of that 'music')
Today I turned in on just to hear what they were saying about the Huricane relief effort (all the stations are involved). They took three callers in the past hour who were just spasming over how great George Bush is and how much he cared. :puke: Even in CT, we have these freaks, granted of course they are on 'zie lokal kountry station', but still it's sickening to hear this crap.

2. Ok this is not a slam at CT
but I have only been there once and it was the whitest place I've ever seen. I kept asking myself where are the black people - so MAYBE that had something to do with why the CT freaks you heard think the freak in chief is so great.....

4. CT is blue. Even though the vote fell by some...
2000:
Gore: 56%
Bush 38%
Nader 4%
Other: 2%

2004:
Kerry: 55%
Bush 44%
Other: 1%

Bush has a 59% disapproval rating and a 36% approval rating.

Fairfield went to Kerry 52/47 due to the highly populated diverse areas. Upper county went heavily to Bush due to a mixture of McMansions, SUV's, Soccer moms, and rednecks, and race does play a factor up there too. Litchfield went to Bush by 1% this time. Gore won it by 6% in 2000.

All in all, CT is blue but with a very loud racist red minority.

5. it depends where you go in CT
I'm in Fairfield County which is a big mixture of cities which have diversity (Norwalk, Stamford, Fairfield, Bridgeport, ect..) and very affluent commuter towns (Greenwich, New Canaan, Darien, ect..)
