all of the cots on the floor of the Astrodome are about full, with five or six thousand people . . . it already looks to be quite crowded and will soon get uncomfortable . . . they're saying that they will be quadrupling that number and housing 24 or 25 thousand there . . . in my opinion, that's asinine . . . there's no way to accommodate that many people and not have them go stir crazy within a few days . . . it's a FEMA operation, so maybe that explains it . . .

On another thread, we were comparing this storm to the one in Galveston 1900, which killed 6000 -- and was the worst loss of life in America; Katrina may top it....

New Orleans and Misssissippi look like fucking Bangla Desh. In fact, I bet the Bangladeshans are taking up a collection to try and help the poor black people of America.
