I thought everyone was screened for 'weapons' before entering convention?
I saw that a few days earlier.

1. There was nobody there to screen them.
The plan wasn't realized.

2. Those poor people stood in line for 4 hours or more to get in.

3. when they first entered prior to storm coming in. when they had control
now it is free for all, whoever makes it there. and there is no longer a control with anyone checking anything, or feeding, or giving water. two totally different stories

8. people did not want to do to dome-the converntion is not under water.
it was word of mouth--people started going to the center as the alternative to the dome!! no authority is there at all!!

11. My understanding is that the Convention Center was never staffed
... with any type of relief workers. People were told to seek shelter there and when they got there they were on their own. NG came by once and handed out MRE's (I heard this on CNN) and that was all the leadership/help they've seen. They've been on their own to scavenge food and w/o any medical care for days.

FEMA said they were unaware of the people there until today.

13. The people at the convention center told media they had
been told they would be picked up if they got there. They are expecting some kind of rescue.

Yes, the were expecting help AND transportation. I left out that they expected transport along with food/shelter/medical care.


My brain is very tired.
