This is really starting to p!ss me off more than any of the previous stuff. Of course, the fact that it is coming to light is some measure of joy because maybe they are going to stab each other to death in the process of this infighting.

I am laughing that the conservatives want to blast the NYT for Blair, but Wa Times and soon other papers will be exposed as allowing spurious info into their rags as well.

Jason Blair's articles were pure laziness and lying on his part. THis letter and lying intelligence and the whole message by GOP in power seems to be deliberate lying for political ends.

Anyway, good to have a break for a few days.

I believe it was pure politics. Are they getting desperate? I noticed any time the administration wants to regain credibility they put Powell up there as their "HOnest abe". Maybe Cheney and Rummy are tired of the uppity negroe trying to get the best of their "scorched eartth" policy?

Or maybe they're just good cop bad copping us?

If they create a false dichotomy of dovish admin members and hawkish members then the American won't demand a credible opposition from the Democrats?
