RW Media: "There is a Muslim/Liberal Alliance"

I keep seeing RW'ers say there is an Alliance between the Muslims and the Liberals.

They say they are surprised at this because they say the ideas of Muslims and Liberals have nothing in common.

You know what, all you 'liberal' Media groups, Pat Robertson's, David Horowitz's, etc.?

You all need to shut up.

I'm a Muslim and I'm a Liberal.

I converted to Islam on February 28, 2004 as an obligation to my Lover. Who BTW, agrees with me ideologically.

I have opposed the FMA and I support equality for GLBT people.

I support women's rights.

I am proud to be a Liberal AND a Muslim.

And, I could say "Why is there a RW'er/Christian Alliance?".

There is nothing RW about what Jesus said and did.

There was nothing RW about what Martin Luther King said and did.

It might be the fact, that in truth, there is nothing Christian about the 'christian' Right or the Far Right for that matter.

So, before you cry about evil alliances and lie to a large portion of the nation that Liberals and Muslims (which must mean Terrorists, right?) are allied. Maybe you should all explain the ties and connections you all have.

5. There are many allies

on the side of righteousness. I question why they are NOT aligned with the liberal cause?

On edit: Are they implying this "alliance" makes us Anti-American and Anti-Christian? I guess in their black and white world this makes sense, but everyone is welcome in the search for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Everyone is entitled to pursue the "American Dream." Everyone has the right to dream about peace and opportunity for all.

So if Muslims worldwide want to join this quest, the more the merrier. Same goes for Christians, hindus, buddhists, and Jews. Some may have a problem though, we do not discriminate based on religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

7. Well in Horowitz's case

This goes back to the Cold War and the Red Scare. He and others (Ann Coulter for example) wnat to bring back days in which being a liberal was something you kept quiet for fear of being accused of being a Commie Pinko. But with out the communist menace they are reduced to tieing American Liberalism and Radical Islam by the most slender of threads.

Of course for such people all Islam is Radical Islam.

8. I am not allied with any monotheists.

to me, its the same religious tradition. as yahweh/god/allah are the SAME DIETY, judaism/christianity/islam are all pretty much allied.

if you want to ally with me against fascism, fine. but that has nothing to do with religion.
