Bush has decimated America's ability to respond to disasters, thanks to his war for oil and tax cuts to the richest in the country, all paid for with budget cuts for things like NOLA levee construction. Our National Guard, local police and fire/paramedic first responders are in Iraq. FEMA and DHS are underfunded and manned by right wing political hacks and big money donors.

BushCo salivates at the money they will make after disaster as they callously tell survivors they "should have got out" and deserve "zero tolerance" for their life threatening situation.

Today it's New Orleans. Tomorrow it could be your town.

The Fells Point area folks are still trying to get the insurance companies to honor their claims.
