bush's "Good, Crisp Decisions"...
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 10:57 AM by stopbush
On Aug 13, * gave a press conference in Crawford, the one in which he laid out his reasons for refusing to meet with Cindy Sheehan. He defended his vacation, saying that, "the people want their president to be in the position to make good, crisp decisions," implying that his super-extended vacation was important because it helped to recharge his jets so he could deal with the *real* (ie: not Cindy Sheehan) problems facing the country.

Is there even a snowball's chance in hell that the media will throw this quote back in his face? Or is 4 days of inaction, guitar strumming and b'day cake eatin' considered to be making "crisp" decisions when thousands of people are in harm's way and dying? Or are such "crisp" decisions reserved only for RW political haymaking, as in the case of the Terri Schiavo bill that * flew back to DC to sign in the middle of the night, interrupting yet another of his vacations?

2. I was wondering the same thing during the campaign
Bush touts his leadership skills as a primary asset, yet his term(s) are littered with leadership failures. Why didn't Kerry, et al forcefully point this out?

3. Decisions so crisp that they're brittle ...
and shatter on contact with the real world.

4. In his defense
His vacation wasn't over yet. Thus he wasn't yet ready for good crisp decisions. If only the storm was a week later they'd all have been saved.
