2. They take the message. They count the calls.
They tally the voter's responses. If the SOB doesn't leave office, at least he'll know we're all pissed off. Maybe it will get him TO DO SOMETHING. Or maybe he'll have a nervous breakdown, and his handlers will lock him away someplace.

6. my call
Just said very politely (and it wasn't easy but the poor operator isn't at fault) that as a citizen of the US I was calling for the resignation of GW and Dick Cheney due to their extreme incompetence in their respective offices. I said the hurricaine and the war in Iraq has made that fact all too clear and America needs to reinvent itself with good leaders.

11. I did make a call...
but, before I mentioned resignation or impeachment, I implored the government to take up all the offers of help that are being made by foreign countries as the situation in NO is rapidly deteriorating and people are dying while our pResident stubbornly digs in his heels. I thought that was the more important message at this time.

17. I just called and ranted for at least 5 to 10 minutes at the poor operator
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 12:41 PM by anarchy1999
that had the misfortune of taking my call. I made her repeat back to me everything I said, making sure she had taken it down (which she had not) so we went through it again and I finished up by asking her if she was tired yet and how many calls are you getting in support? Also I did tell her that she needed to read the Constitution, This is a government of the People, By the People and For the People and you all are about to be so fired. Bush and this entire administration have committed treason and should already be in prison, but this disaster in New Orleans is beyond the PALE!

I followed up with a pleasant phone call to KaY Bailey Hutchinson! That was an enlightening moment, whoever answered the phone there told me I needed to be calling my other Representative, she's my US State Senator? I was being told I need to contact someone else and I had to question her, Kay B H is my US State senator, right? Yes. I'm supposed to vote for her, right? Yes. I live in Dallas and she is my Senator, right? Yes. Finally she listened as well, WTF?

Basically Kay's office received the same message as Bush. I did promise though as I have in the past that I will do everything I can do to see that her career in politics is through and I suggested to her assistant that maybe she should just resign like all the rest of the Repubs, to spend more time with her family.
