MODEST PROPOSAL: Tax oil companies for military in Middle East
since they are repaying us for the Iraq War with price gouging to collect record profits, we ought to charge them for the use of our military in the Gulf.

The tax could be based on the percentage of the oil they pump that comes from there, and should be enough to defray 75% or more of the cost of the war.

In this way, we could help Wolfowitz keep his promise that oil would pay for the War.
