NPR "catapulting the propaganda" for Smirky McGuitarzan
I feel like a frog in the pot of water that has been finally brought to a boil. It has taken 25 years for me to go from being the most avid of listners of NPR to realizing that it is now just another arm of Bushco's propaganda machine.

I am about ready to have a Viking Funeral for my radio after hearing NPR this morning repeat "Bush ends his vacation early" 3 times in less than 2 minutes, and at least a dozen times over an hour and a half. Are they just reading the whitehouse press releases now? It looks like the right wing coup of the public airwaves is complete.

NPR is dead

Long live NPR

3. Have you paid attention at all?
Republicans got mad that NPR wasn't a propaganda arm of the Republican Party and the only way Congress would agree not to kill NPR was if they got to install Republican cronies into most of the control spots of NPR. The head of NPR was directly appointed by Bush as was about half of the board of directors. The Republicans said they wanted to make NPR "more balanced" while instead they turned into a completely uncritical pro-Bush mouth piece.

Everyone knew this would happen as soon as the Republicans went after NPR and this should surprise no one. Instead of slamming NPR you should be slamming the Republicans for removing the fire wall which protected journalists from the attacks of partisan politicians.

6. I knew all that
knowing why a product is not as good as it used to be does not excuse it for becoming a worse product. It just finally hit me this morning that they have completed their voyage to the dark side.
