Kit Bond just called bushco "genius"
for creating the situation where 'the terrorists are heading to baghdad like cockroaches so we can fight them there instead of Boise...'

are they any repukes that go 'off script' any more???

KBH actually read NoFacts column (essentially) on the Senate floor today.

1. As a Missourian...
...I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the existance and senate seat occupied by Kit Bond. What a total ass...

Kit Bond is a lying asshole. He's not much better than Asscrapped.

I think I'm moving across the river to Southern Illinois. There is no concealed carry there. And no Jim Talentless and Christopher "family values" Bond.

7. NO, please stay in the "purple" State of MO
We were red last time, but blue twice before. We need all the help we can get. I too have been tempted
by the Land Of Lincoln, but thankfully they are almost as Dem as a state can be. We need your vote in MO!

2. We call them loved ones.
They call them fly paper.

Have you ever noticed that whenever Chimpy fucks up, his supporters try to make it sound like that is what he intended to do in the first place?

3. Also, it was genius
of them to lure unsuspecting people over to Iraq to fight the terrorists for us. You know, people who were told that they could get a college education if they joined the reserve, or people that were told that they were fighting to protect our freedoms in response to 9/11.
Nope, instead they were sent over there as bait.

:wtf:

9. I've heard numerous CSPAN callers say the same thing...
...is there some kind of memo going around?

- But really...what else can they say about the screwup of the century?

- There's probably more terrorists per square mile in Saudi than in all of Iraq.

10. I saw that.
Kit Bond just make me totally sick. After Senator Ted Kennedy's great speech, Bond just walked up there and basically laughed at Kennedy. He was totally, totally sickening and I had to turn to the House. And there was Katherine Harris running her mouth about housing. ACK. Ack.

13. Nancy Farmer says Thank you!
I don't think the public will think much of this. Missouri has a whole lot of rural Democrats that go Republican over guns. Now that they have conceal\carry. They may be so happy that they stop reading NRA propaganda. Farmer can probably subtley take advantage of it.

14. So, it's genius to lure them to the very place
that we are simultaneously spending mega billions trying to rebuild?

That's genius?

To intentionally make a battlegound (Bring'em on!) of the country of the people we are trying to help, to liberate, to make safer, to help make a better life for their children and that we are supposedly trying to RID of terrorists?

That strategery, by design, soaks the Treasury while enriching their politically connected no-bid contracting cronies. There is no other explanation.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to just write a check to Halliburton for the profits and that way we can save on the capital investments that are sure to be destroyed?

These people like Bond are continously allowed to spout this Orwellian crap. "Black is White", "2+2=5", and "You can simultaneously rebuild the same exact area that you have chosen as "ground zero" for the war on terror.

15. Of course Bond called him a genius, he's smarter than Bond!
Hell, I live in MO, its an open secret that Bond has 1 count them 1 functioning brain cell left. As the old saying goes, in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

17. Nancy Farmer - State Treasurer
Edited on Wed Oct-01-03 05:49 PM by hatrack
She's a long shot, given Bond's status as one of the Princes of Pork in the Senate, to say nothing of the millions and millions of dollars he's already raised for 2004.

However, Nancy's smart, personable and has a history of staging upset victories. In addition, Bond pulled a substantial portion of the black vote when he last stood for reelection. After the Ronnie White fiasco, few, if any African-Americans are going to give a single solitary damn about anything he says or does in his campaign this time around.

18. his speech was stomach-churning
Repeating the same old lies about nuclear weapons and WMD, all of which have been discredited.

I laughed out loud when he actually complimented the military for defeating the Republican Guard before they could unleash a chemical attack....helloooooooo? How can they launch weapons they don't have?

It's like Bond has been drinking the last three months away, just awoke from his stupor and doesn't yet know that the whole spiel has been proven a lie. What a ridiculous shill.

19. Kit Bond is a crook
When I was living in Missouri, Kit Bond had people working for him who were KKK and whom he'd pardoned for bank robberies for helping him out with political favors.

These people were extreme right-wingers who were members of the KKK and who were currently political operatives for other Republican candidates in Missouri.

This was in 1980. The guy is crooked as can be.

I'm gonna go look up some names. The name Beardsley is one of them. I need to look up the others.
