PLAME OUTING: not White House source, according to senator.

Have you been watching C-Span-2 today?
In the Senate, the R senator from Texas (I am sorry, I don't remember the name... I have C-span underneath my other work on the computer) was saying that the outing of Plame was NOT DONE BY THE WHITE HOUSE AND THAT NOVAK SAID AS MUCH.
THAT EVERYBODY KNEW ABOUT SHE BEING A CIA PERSON.
THAT THERE IS NO NEED FOR INVESTIGATION. THIS IS BLOWN OUT OF ALL PROPORTION FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES.
In other words, nothing to see here, keep on going please.

16. She is repulsive even to look at.
Kay Bailey Hutchison. She looks like so many women I have known who are repressed spiritually and want to impose what they think on everybody else.

She looks like she is eating a lemon and then spews all this piously stated garbage...

The older you get the better you are at recognizing hubris... unfortunately for me, because you lose innocence.

'senior administration officials' be if not the WH?

Who else would 'senior administration officials' work for??

3. yep, that's their puny defense
Relax, nobody's buyin' it.

Just enjoy the sweating and squirming and whining while you can.

And listen to the quiet prolonged chirping of crickets after the Powerful President demanded those who knew anything to come forward.

This will not be easy.

4. Then it would be no big deal for Novak's source to release his own name
Since this is "no big deal" then the linker should out him or herself.

15. I believe she is an analyst.
NOW!

My understanding is that she was an operative but became an analyst after she became a mother.

Also, it probably is common knowledge that she is an analyst. It was probably not common knowledge that she was an operative in the past. The knowledge that she is now an analyst would probably not compromise the network of assets that she had created. The knowledge that she was an operative would.

8. John Cornyn and Key Bailey Hutchison are the two senators from Texas
This is the same spin we are hearing from Novak. It is nothing knew. I sounds like the senator is just repeating what he or she heard from Novak.

The Republicans are in denial and they believe that they can spin their way out of this. I think they are wrong and are in for a harsh dose of reality.

9. The Republican senator from Texas...
... John Cornyn has been in Washington, D.C., for a grand total of nine months. What the hell does he know about Wilson and what Wilson's wife has been doing for twenty-odd years?

The other Republican Senator, Kay Bailey Hutchison, would put her own mother in jail to protect Bush and Rove.

`Nuff said.

10. I can't get my arms around this 'everybody knew she was CIA' thing
I just don't understand how she could be a covert operative if "everybody" knew. It seems to me that once this became common knowledge that her covert days were over.

Now is this just journalistic self importence claiming that it was well known, just spin or what ?

I've been at my abacus for a day now and I still can't figure this out.

17. My understanding is that she was an operative in the past,
but she became an analysts after becoming a mother. If I am correct that she is now an analyst, then this would not be a big secret. Novak reveals that she was an operative.

People in Washington might have known that she was an analyst and this would probably not have been a big deal, but they might not have known that she was an operative.

14. Josh Marshall shot his theory to sh*t....
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/oct0301.html#100103952am

He basically says that "everyone" didn't even know who Joe Wilson was before the Yellow Cake story. Therefore, everyone didn't know what his wife did.

He also describes a journalist who had dinner with the couple and, surprise, when he asked Plame what she did for a living she didn't say she was CIA.

The "everyone" that knows about this is all those who are downwind of the Neo-Con smear campaign that started months ago.

18. On the brighter side, a black representative (on C-Span earlier)
They were showing the little bookbags given to Iraqi children said: I won't vote for the 87B because Bush went to the war without listening to opposition, has not given any rationale for it yet, and our own children don't even have books to put in a bookbag (paraphrase)...
Darn it, I must check names so I can quote better... sorry about that.
