Four Years after Nine Eleven, how's your Fear Level?
still terrorized, or complacent and jaded? fearful of the next terror attack, or confident in our president to 'pertek' us?

3. Fearful - of the government.
My main fear about terror is that our government
will use it as an excuse to further implement
police state policies.

11. The choreography of "attacks" didn't upset me as much as the
government putting the region on "lock-down" (closing the bridges and tunnels), the continuous loop of the planes on television, one TV station (the antennas had been destroyed with the WTC), the cell phones not working (couldn't reach a lot of people), and generally, the hush from everyone for about a week. I wouldn't call it "fear", but apprehension as I never felt personally "under attack". I still don't. And I certainly don't divide recent history as "before" and "after" 9/11.

As stated above, it's the government and the military (its handmaiden) that has made me agitated since January 2001, every single day. And worse, no end in sight.

12. I Don't Fear Mid-east Terrorists
I believe terrorism is something that will always be with us. I do fear the downfall of America. Our present administration is terrifying to me.

13. I'm not very frightened, and I'm a New Yorker...
...why would they attack us now, anyway? We're on the ropes in Iraq, and a new attack would probably fool Americans into a spike of support for Bush, again. Plus, a new attack might create a little sympathy for us in parts of the world, interrupting the cycle of our increasing isolation from everyone else.

Why would terrorists want to do that? It seems like this "war on terror" is going great for them without any new attacks in the US. Why would they upset that? The Bush administration's sustained incompetence and lack of leadership is already worth TEN successful attacks to this country's enemies.

17. Cautious.
Not in what I do or where I go, but in assessing the threat warnings that the DHS puts out. After the scares that bookended DNC04 I can't trust that they aren't political scares. That grain of salt tucked firmly into my head, if they seem legit, and they affect what I do each day ( as an example, I rarely use public transportation) I stay alert, but not to the point of acting stupid.

That's all I can really do.
