how much is evolution accepted in other parts of the world ?

i assume it is most accepted in places like Canada and much of western Europe. does anyone know how it is in other parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East etc ?

do certain religions, areas etc accept it more than others ? in a science class in Iran, Japan, South Africa etc do they have issues with evolution being taught ?

in America it seems to be the right wing Christians who most have a problem with it. but that could be because they are just the loudest and more "out there".

asia is definitely teaching science in science class. from my experience mexico and guatamala is definitely teaching science in science class. trying to sneak genesis into science class is relegated to a few states in amerika i think.

my colleagues from asia (china, japan, india, and korea)and europe are amazed that some americans do not believe in. they point to those folks as the reason why america will lose its place in the world as a leader in science.

It does face some Muslim opposition -- Turkey is a country that has seen some anti-abortion politics. There, some Muslims are using materials from the U.S. in their opposition to evolution.

In Europe, there is some old-time opposition from churches that never accepted evolution. But then, much of Europe is secular, and accepting of science. Despite the Cardinal Schonbon (sic) controversy, evolution is well accepted among Catholics, so in Catholic-majority countries.

Most of Asia has no problem with evolution.

So, indeed, most of the Creation and Intelligent-Design-Creation yahoos are right here in the U.S.
