Media LYING About High $$ Gas prices -- Bushco should be impeached!
Who here is waiting in lines to get gas like the 1970's.....?????
------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer : Nobody.... there is plenty of oil at these prices

How are prices set for Oil?
----------------------------
Daily trading at 2 OIL trading markets: New York and London and get

this a 3rd one in March 2006 - Iranian Oil Market (trading in Euro's)

Why No refinery's (the US has 149...down from 350 in the 70-80's)???
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: Govt ALLOWED massive oil company takeovers like Exxon/Mobile

and they REDUCED the number of refineries to save $$$$$$$.

Why should Bush and Cheney be impeached????
--------------------------------------------

Answer: Total disregard for National Security. They planned their

mideast oil war for conquest as opposed to negotiation and diplomacy.

How would you like to know what happened in Cheney's Energy meeting's?

I'll give you a clue -- Bush's first meeting with his cabinet had

the country of Iraq and thier Oil all carved up...ask Paul O'Neill.

Now you have the "lapdog media" lying to america...again

4. Sadly, this issue might be the only thing to get some riled
against Bush. Since he has required no obvious sacrifice of the majority of people (let the states be the 'bad guys'), they aren't going to stand for these high gas prices.

12. You left out a few important things .....

ON EDIT: Sorry for the rant!

There are more reasons for the high oil prices then you have outlined. Some of it is beyond the Governments control.

China's economy is exploding, and exploding like never before in our history. Most of their economic boom is because of the cheap exports that they make and import to the United States. Since their economy is doing so good they are very hungry for oil. More hungry for oil than we are. This has made a great impact on the oil prices as well.

People don't believe me or seem to care that we are at war with China. An economic war that could escalate into something much large if we are not careful, and with our current administration that scares the hell out of me. I have seen it coming for several years, and our government has turned a blind eye.

I work in the steel industry, and the cost of raw steel has been the same for over twenty years. In he early 80's the cost was about $.30 per pound. In the late 80's or early 90's US steel companies could not compete with the foreign steel markets, and today their is only one steel mill that I know of in the US. Steel remained roughly $.30 per pound until last fall. Remained there until China literally bought up all the scrape steel in the world. (It takes scrape steel to make new steel.) When this happened steel became scares and the steel prices went from $.30 to $.60 per pound over night and they remain at that price today. China claims that they needed the steel because of their booming economy, but I feel the real reason was so they could CONTROL the market. And they have! China has done the same thin to control the stainless steel market in the past by buying up all the Nickle, which is only mined in Canada and Russia.

They also want to control the market of oil.

We have been in an economic war with China for a long time, and it will result in big trouble if something is not done.

What scares me more is that this administration seems to be ignoring it. As long as * oil friends are making money they don't give shit.

And now Russia and China are beginning war games. What do you think is down the road for us?

Boy did I rant!
Sorry, but it felt good!

13. increase in "oil demand" has been known for years ..... ZERO Govt Planning
you can go back to M King Hubbard and Hubbard's Peak who shared his accurate prediction for US oil peak production in 1956..that oil would peak in 1970...it did in 1973...downhill since with tons wmore drilling.

Hubbard and others have suggested a 2000 global oil peak...it's soo damn tiugh getting oil info from companies....but you havne't see a massive oil find since th '80's

The point is our govt (dems and repugs) KNEW about this :

* where are the bastards on greater fuel efficiancies for auto's ...hell they took this out of the energy bill

* where is there discussion for conservation...????????

Nope...all we get is lies as our economy rots, our dollar melets...our soc safety net's are bankrupt and we are fighting a war that costs another $6-8 B a month....

OH...and all our jobs are being outsourced

IMHO...we are being set-up for a major major crisis....and all US Govt debt will be "wiped away" when we have a nuke crisis in country.

However...us citizens can look forawrd to the new bankruptcy bill they passed

Connect the dots..................
