It should be public record if he was arrested. I'm curious as to who this person was. Anyone find a name yet?
Or is he going to hide now like all the other rupuke cowards?

1. Is he a resident of Crawford?
So far it seems that most of the trouble has come directly from the residents. Damn shame.

4. I am pretty sure he is
The only thing I found on him is "a middle aged man".
I found this :
"Crosses still lodged in the truck's under carriage... Middle aged man rigs pick-up with what is thought to be a metal fence post droped from the bed of truck with chain. Will be charged with several misdemeanors. Name or residence unknown."

14. It's a bit embarrassing but
Trying to find news from Crawford, I came across this site.
http://www.crawford-texas.org/id14.html

That's about all I can find except stories such as :

"War protesting mother gets sued for divorce! Oh yeah, and some guy in a truck did something".

34. Interesting site, to say the least. They mention us a few times, but in
the negative, as to be expected...:)

Strange how they don't mention the thread where people are thanking the McLellan Cty Sheriff's Office for being so professional....

While I certainly don't like the conservative slant, I do think it was appropriate that they asked anyone w/info on the guy in the p/u running over the crosses to contact the Sheriff's Office...:)

I am willing to bet that once bush has 'retired' and moves to Crawford permanently,(?)....that the people of Crawford will despise him for bringing all of the hype and foolishness to the area. I just can't picture bush stopping in for a burger at the local diner and shooting the breeze w/the locals; he finds himself far too superior for such an act of common decency.

bush could have avoided the whole thing, if he had just met w/Sheean for a few minutes; he brought the thing down, and that is just tough for him and Crawford....:)

18. Ever notice
In any pictures of him "driving" he is always yapping something out of the window and doesn't seem to be moving?
I think they put a bottle of scotch in the car and after he runs in to get it, they slam the door and take some photos to make it look like he is a "regular dude".

29. The Sheriff is afraid for Cindy?
We are good neighbors and we are cooperating with everyone.
By the way, in case I forgot to blog it last night, the Sheriff
has requested that I stay down in Crawford during the night, because
he is afraid for my safety after he leaves.
He said he would "sleep better" himself at night if I came into town
to sleep. Judging from the shooting guns, I guess he was right.

31. The people of Crawford are bearing a huge burden
It cannot be easy to have all of these strangers in your town, or by your property. Some of them feel awfully entitled. Others are full of stereotypes about Texas and ranchers. Many are good guests, I'm sure, but you know how unruly a crowd can be.

I remember during the election DU had an email campaign that wrongly targeted a lefty reporter. She emailed us to say that she was so damn annoyed by all the emails that we might push her to the other side! :)

What I'm getting at is that some of this bad behavior on their part may be because they are very annoyed by all the protesters.

I'm not excusing them, especially not the "shooter" or the jerk who ran over the crosses, but we must understand how hard this is on many of the residents. We call ourselves people of compassion - let's make sure we show it to the residents of Crawford who had no part in the chimp coming to live in their town.

33. I agree
I don't think for one minute that the two people who have caused trouble represents all of the people from Crawford or Texas.
Idiots are everywhere.
From what I have seen so far, the people of Crawford have been dealing with this all pretty well. It's too bad for them that georgie chose their town to park his lazy ass.
