Help out the uninformed...why wasn't she arrested?
Sorry, haven't followed this as closely as you guys but I was sure I heard Cindy was suppose to be arrested as a national security threat if still there come Thursday. Did they figure out that was an extremely bad PR move or did she move to an approved local.

2. I'd read somewhere on DU that big trucks with spotlights
drove by around midnight but seemed to just be intimidating them. Nothing ever happened. Was that WillPitt who blogged that?

6. It was Will
A caravan of vehicles went through late last night, possibly Condi and Rummy.

Prior to that, the there were constant drive bys and lights shining. Apparently just to freak them out. It didn't work.

7. I wouldn't think that they want to handcuff a Goldstar Mom in front of ANY
camera, foreign or domestic.

9. Domestic they control
foreign they don't

Moreover they have handcuffed a gold star mother already, and it was in local news, during the campaign

12. They don't control the individuals with cameras
Who can go home and upload it for the world to see. Eventually, the so-called news channels would have to report it.

True, they have done it before, but more people are looking now.

17. Exactly
I think that's why. Foreign reporters would get to the story really fast I'm sure. It wouldn't look good if they found out that they planted something or something like that.

8. Exactly.
Either way, whether he meets with her (he won't) or not, he's lost this PR battle.

10. Yes he has
If he had met with her the first day, the PR blunder might have been avoided. Now, he's screwed either way.

15. Well, she's not breaking any laws. There is nothing to charge her with,
and with a national spotlight upon them, nothing can be done. I hope they're careful about infiltrators though.

21. Because the right-wingers notified her in advance of the arrest - we were
able to put a spotlight on the cockroaches. We as the collective (small but growing) "liberal media" (the real liberal media), not "we" as DU alone.

Once the spotlight shone on the area, they were unable to pull the fascist tactics that they were going to do. If they just did it with no warning, the spotlight would not have been there.

This could have been an incident of "eminent domain" - "You can't protest at this point, it's private property." "Oh, okay. I'll move over here." "That's fine. It's not private property." Next day: "Okay you're under arrest for trespassing on private property!" "What do you mean? It's public land." "No, it's now private property. Get in the paddy wagon . . ."

24. I am thinking he was
referring to a group of Iraq vets that planned to walk to the pig farm. Because of the health inspectors and news conference, they decided yesterday wasn't the time.
