Richard (Daniel's daddy) is renowned, all right, but this doesn't mean he's a "good historian." Richard built his reputation the same way that Richard Nixon did: by milking anticommunism for its career advancement potential. Daniel Pipes doesn't want peace in the Middle East. He likes the US approach just the way it is and would like it to be even more anti-Muslim. Pipes is a vile reptile. Do an archive search re Daniel Pipes at DU and you'll get a ton of stuff.

He is not only on the anti-Muslim, attack every Muslim country band-wagon- he's one of the initiators of it. One of his cohorts in hate is Steve Emerson.

Progressives and their organizations have been fighting him for years.
