If George W. Bush was a REAL man, and LEADER
He would be able to INVITE Cindy Sheehan to the ranch. Yep - you heard me. He would invite her there - for the Friday Shin Dig. And he would be a courteous and gracious host. He would take her aside and together they would discuss the things that upset her. He would listen. Great leaders listen to the people. They show empathy. They are humble.

If George were like Bill - it would be easy. But George is not like Bill. Diplomacy and graciousness do not come easy to George.

If they were smart enough - and savy enough - they could turn this whole thing around....but they (Bushco) only know how to attack - they do not know the christian thing to do - listen to Cindy, show empathy and compassion. They do not know HOW to show Cindy WHY BUSH WAS ELECTED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

2. Bill Clinton would have invited her in and listened to her.
And he'd have been sincere about it. (But then, he wouldn't have needed to do it in the first place because this war wouldn't have happened if he were still in office.) Bush proves every day what a sociopathic, heartless douchebag he is.

4. It is so true. If this were happening out in front of ANYBODY'S
house, I think everyone would just invite the person in and talk to them - no reporters, etc., just the 2 of them. But, you see, the problem is Bush knows he's guilty of murdering her son for nothing and he really can't look her in the eyes, like most people. She's sincere and he isn't - end of story.

5. This is like saying
"if grandma had wheels, she'd be a wagon".

Besides, Bush was not elected.

6. It's becoming more and more obvious that he really hates democracy
and all of the messiness it entails. He wants everything to go his way, all of the time, and cares too little for average Americans to even entertain a word of dissent.

8. He was elected?

Not in my book. But, yeah, everything else makes sense. What leader, or Texas gentleman for that matter, would leave a poor mother of a dead soldier outside to bake in the scorching Texas sun?

edit: spelling of course

9. well - in their mind, he was
So, it is time to prove what a great leader he is. Course - he won't meet her. He cannot and will not. Not his fault that he is a self centered jackass who happens to be president. That is just the kinda guy he is.

He can't stand dissent - poor guy. Can't rationalize it in a way to disarm naysayers diplomatically. It is beyond his reckoning....jackasses never could figure that sort of thing out.

The right thing to do was for him to invite her to the ranch for a one on one meeting.
