Anyone else glad to see Wesley Clark all over the TV?
I figure he must be the Dems' point man, and they couldn't have picked anyone better. Daschle and Pelosi are laying low (which is fine with me) and letting the retired general carry the water. Smart move in my book.

2. He's my guy.
I think he's going to get into the race, and I think the fallout among the GOP will be complete chaos. When the reality sinks in that Smirk has as much chance of winning in 2004 as he does of reading War & Peace or of uttering a coherent paragraph, you will see bedlam at the WH and in the Congress. The more statesman-like Repubs, like McCain, Spector, Voinovich, and the RINOs like Chaffee, Snowe, and Fitzgerald will burn rubber distancing themselves from Smirk. It will be great fun to watch.

I will also be sending him $500 bucks the day he tosses his hat in.

3. For the first time I'm feeling optimistic..
That he will run. I think he's been perusing the landscape and doing a feasibility assessment to see if he could run a viable campaign. With bush being damaged now, it does look like he could launch a viable campaign.

I also think it's a little strange that his interviewers never fail to mention the draftclark website. They are obviously giving him free publicity. I think the media would love to see Clark enter the race.

4. I missed it
but I to will be donating to canpaign when he throws his hat in. Yesterday on This Week he said he would decide within a month. If he is honest that means we have less than 29days left to wonder. Oh Please let him run.

5. His son
Clark Jr. posts on a board somewhere, and said that his dad will decide before Labor Day, which is ~6 weeks. Maybe the dire situation that the country is in have accelerated his time table. SOme other remarks:

1. Will "do whatever it takes" to get Smirk out of office in 04
2. Will NOT run as a Repug
3. Is pro-choice, pro-environment, pro-balanced budget, and anti-imperialism
4. Won't be angling for the VP spot

I have let myself get WAY too emotional thinking about Clark For America. If he decides not to jump up, I'll be depressed and Rove will get some adrenalin. If Wes is the patriot I think he is, he will step up.

7. The More I Hear
The more I hope he runs. Clark as a Democrat will really cause some excitement. Exactly what we need. If you don't know much about him, find out. Visit the sites posted here and read the article in August's Esquire. Read his book. I've heard General Clark speak (live) on several occasions and I'd like nothing better than to see him go one on one with shrub. He'll demolish him, in a very distinguished, honorable way.

8. not a big fan
But I like his defense of our party. Is he a registered Democrat? I don't think that he has ever run for office, or been elected to any posistion.
Why do you guys think that he could win the primary, instead of, say, Al Gore? Gore has the foriegn policy experience and the election experience.
I really don't think that Clark would even make a good vp candidate, however, I would vote for him if thats where the party ends up.

Clark voted as a Democrat in the last election. His father was an elected Democrat in Arkansas (not sure what office). His schooling as a Rhodes Scholar and other similarities lend comparisons to Clinton - who has stated Clark would make a good president. The man reads Democrat all over even though he hasn't declared.
A liberal with a distinguished career as an Army General and the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO. Makes me giddy.
Even though he's never held an elected office, I don't really think it will matter.

11. maybe he should run for his dads spot
first.
I'm glad that he is registered as a Democrat. Are you sure that he is registered as a Democrat in AK? Is he on the state committee? Does he belong to the county or town committee where he resides? Is he involved at all with politics or the democratic party?
