Leak investigation tests Bush, Rove relationship
Thick as thieves...

snip>
Their first campaign, Bush's run for a West Texas congressional seat in 1978, ended in defeat after Bush's Democratic opponent cast him as an Ivy League outsider.

In the Republican primary, Bush had to fend off a more conservative candidate who accused him of relying on "Rockefeller-type Republicans such as Karl Rove" for advice. A local newspaper quoted Bush claiming that Rove "has had nothing to do with my campaign," a denial at odds with Rove's acknowledgment years later that he was an unpaid adviser.

...

....Tom Pauken, who ran afoul of Bush and Rove when he headed the Texas Republican Party...said he wasn't at all surprised to see Rove linked to the CIA case.

"Karl's been doing this for years. He uses reporters to plant negative information, to attack the credibility of real or perceived foes," he said. "It's just the usual Karl Rove scorched-earth policy."

1. I wish the media would stop hawking B*sh's loyalty to Rove...
...and call it what it really is. It's fear, plain and simple. If Rove goes down, he can take B*sh with him, all the way to the bottom. Rove knows where ALL of the B*sh bodies are buried--not just the Wilsons'.

4. it's indicative of his lack of intelligence.
When someone uses words and concepts in a manner which consistently reveals that those words mean absolutely nothing to him (example: Bush speaks of “freedom,” as he enacts a program which threatens civil liberties here at home on the most fundamental level, and who speaks of “progress” in Iraq as that country descends further into bloody chaos with each day that passes), it is not possible to reach him at all. There is nothing to reach—in the sense that there is no mind there capable of understanding what you are saying. On the most basic level, such people do not know how to think. When someone functions in this way—that is, when he is not capable of thinking in the most rudimentary manner—there is one method of survival that tends to overshadow all the others: membership in a group, or tribe, which he hopes will protect him.

6. He may, indeed, be that delusional.
And we know that the corporate media aren't going to investigate such a possibility, much less report it. The glib "B*sh loyalty" meme is just another lie they're telling, in obedience to their masters.
