CONFIRMED: The President Spoke to Rove About Wilson and Rove Lied
Edited on Mon Jul-25-05 04:21 PM by nashuaadvocate
It was admitted by Scott McClellan, White House Press Secretary, on September 29th, 2003.

See the thread, with the quotes, here. (To find that quote--it's a long post--do a Ctrl+F for the phrase, "the President knows").

1. That's the position they've decided to take.
The truth is obvious.

2. I like John Kerry's take on the situation:
Either Rove lied to the President about this matter of national security, which means he should be fired immediately, or the President is not being straight with the American people about his own involvement in this case.

I got this from an e-mail he sent out and I agree.

4. That hits the nail on the head.
The reason he or Libby haven't been fired is - communication. It will be harder to communicate and keep all the stories strait if they are fired. I guarantee , if this goes to trial, all the testimony from these people will point in the same direction. It is also less like that they will break ranks.

3. I smell a lying Connecticut Cowboy
Full of arrogance and a life-long belief that he is above the law and only those who serve him should suffer for his misdeeds.

THIS CAN GO ON NO LONGER.

CHIMPEACH NOW!!!!

6. This Prezeldent is a mushroom.
The fed him shit and kept him in the dark. After their shit hit the fan they told him about their role but assured him that it would be handled. He then went on a bike ride.

7. I'm of 2 minds where this is concerned
I see him as clever, just not very intelligent. A subtle difference, but an important one. I think he truly believes he is above the law and above dissent, suffers no disloyalty, and has the machine behind him to ruin those who dare contradict him. Enforcing loyalty was how he won his bones with Poppy, riding herd over the party and keeping the doubters in line or silent, both in '88 and '92.

That being said, if your scenario is true, that he was kept in the dark and is truly unaware of all that has happened under his watch, it's an even sadder scenario than that of him just being a dirty politico with no conscience.

The Puppet boy is just as guilty as the Dark Prince, or whatever role * is playing this week.
