Look at him as nothing "compassionate operative" for the GOP/Rovian power grab and things make sense.

1) Reagan-esque appeal same results as Reagoon.

Ken Lay isn't exactly popular in these parts, after all,
and Michael Milken isn't the best of character references either.
Reasonable people might want to know what was going on between them and Schwarzie.
