How many is too many?
I knew this guy in college who slept with 4 women in ONE night.
Is that too many?
Was he a manwhore or did he just need counseling? How exactly should I judge him?
I mean...jest saying....

3. It's discussion
and there will be as many abortion, schiavo, rove, scotus nomination, Iraq war, and whatever else there is as long as people post subjects or questionss they might have.

I'm glad I wasn't told 'it's none of my business' for asking who had flags from the passing of loved ones who had served. :eyes:

4. Discussion is great
It's the moral piety that isn't.

6. I thought it was because you didn't agree with the positions some took
I didn't view it in the same way. I took it as a valid question.

9. Well the way I see it is
we come up with a random number (for no particular reason) of what WE deem acceptable.
Then what happens when she reaches the magical number?
Do we take her to the center of town and stone her?
Cut her uterus out?
Force her to wear a scarlet letter?
Will we put tattooes on her forehead so we can keep up to make sure she doesn't lie and exceed the magical number?
Abortion is a legal medical procedure.
Why pose your prejudice into a question of moral turpitude--why not just come out and say "She had four abortions and my opinion is that I think she is a slut"? Then discuss that.

12. I still think one is too many
but that's based on my own experience. I wouldn't go through it again for anything. If I were to apply that to the rest of the world that would make me a hypocrit. I won't do it.

Also, if someone were to have several abortions, calling her a slut is the last thing I would do. Irresponsible would be a better term.

We talk so much here at DU about responsibility for ourselves and when the point is made that abortion can be used in such a way everyone is ready to jump on the bandwagon of passing judgment on the person who is accused of passing judgment. It's hypocritical, IMO, and I loathe that characteristic since it's such a strong part of the religious RW and the neocons.

5. Excuse me?
A woman's decision over her own body is nobodies business but hers.

10. some guys have all the luck
four in one night !

ahem..

ok, a group thing is not that big a deal, but if this guy was able to get four separate women and AND 'lock and re-load' .. whewww!! That would be quite an accomplishment.

too many ? no such thing.

14. When considering a reasonable sequence of events over the time
period that comprises one night, we can fairly confidently judge that old "Quick Draw" never slept with any of those women again, by their choice.
