"Jerry" Bremer, the CAIA and *'s dyslexia
Edited on Mon Jul-14-03 05:00 PM by carolinayellowdog
Just got an email reporting that in today's speech, Bush said he was very proud of "Jerry" Bremer's work in Iraq. Bremer's name is Paul.
The first time I thought maybe it was my imagination that * started to call the CIA the CAI, and after he got the A out, caught himself and corrected the mistake. But I just heard him doing it again on NPR. Considering that this agency was headed by his father and has been dominating the news lately, I think Gail Sheehy was right. * isn't just stupid and ignorant, he's dyslexic. Can't get the simplest things straight, like whether to say EYERACK or EROCK, let alone how to pronounce nuclear.

Anyone else notice either of these verbal stumbles?

2. he also said "intelligent," instead of intelligence today.....
when he flubbed up his two answers with Kofi.

anybody else catch that?

somebody also mentioned that that he said there weren't any inspectors in Iraq right before the invasion.

I missed that. Is that correct?

3. I think it's a WASP thing
they have all these names and nicknames and initials. J.Paul Bremer, Jerry Bremer.

I heard the CIA thing too, even better is when he tries to say IAEA. :-)

4. It's L. Paul Bremer
and he replaced Jay Garner (the name, not the letter "j")

5. Jerry is a nickname
I've heard it used in other sources as well. So this one may not be related to stupidity.
