Here's how sleazy this White House is:

Bush would rather wait and see what the Fed. Prosecutor finds out, instead of just asking Rove himself what happened?

It's ALL a big game of cat-n-mouse with them and they are corrupt to the core.

In any other Administration, the President would be getting to the truth of the matter HIMSELF and demanding answers from his 'trusted' advisors, not waiting to see if the Fed. Prosecutor caught the guy.

Bush of course wants to wait and see if Karl and the rest can GET AWAY WITH IT.

2. It's simple; he "can't handle the truth."
Not a bad question for someone to ask Scttie theMcC (or his replacement) next press conference, though.

9. It's Accountability
If you do not know you can not be held accountable.

3. Chimp knows what happened, how it
happened, and why it happened. He and Cheney were in on it from the beginning. What's going on now is called obstruction of justice. These crooks learned nothing from Watergate.

4. Exactly. You also can't tell me that Bush didn't ask them directly over
the course of the last 2 years.

"What did the president know, and when did he know it?"

5. Duck & Cover...The Buck Stops Anywhere But Here
Typical Bunnypants. Pick a fight, let the others get all muddy and you hide behind mommy and daddy; yelling and taunting the others under your breath.

He's not even man enough to do a Raygun...admit mistakes were made. He has yet to admit ANYTHING this regime has done is wrong and has awarded the most inept and corrupt. Yep, I agree with Jon Stewart, if Rove walks from this mess, he'll be put on the Supreme Court.

If this asshat truly wanted to be that "uniter", there's no better time for him...politically or for the sanity of this nation...than now. But he'd rather play Gamestation and let the country fall apart further. In Dubyaworld, there's only him and his pals and "the others".

When he said "you're either with us or against us", this surely demonstrates what he means.

7. *IF* it were an honorable Administration (and it's not), but *IF*
then the President wouldn't CARE what the Fed. Prosecutor's investigation was uncovering--the President would've already gotten to the bottom of it himself and dealt with it appropriately.

It's like if your teenager was being investigated by the Principal for doing something very wrong at school . . . wouldn't you have already called you kid on the carpet YOURSELF and demanded to know what happened so you deal with it yourself, despite what "an investigation" might uncover separately? And say, if your neighbor asks you if your teenager was involved in something bad at school, would you just say "we're waiting to see what the Principal finds out."

8. This is a "Not My Kid"
Using your analogy...and a good one...Bunnypants is like the parent who can't imagine their darling angels would ever do anything wrong. Not only don't say it, how dare you even imply it! If you do it must be because you are jealous or a bully.

The interesting, unspoken here is very few are actually calling for an indictment or hoping Bunnypants gets nailed in this web. We know he's so inept that if that layer below him...his real bosses are revealed, he's totally useless.

6. Because then Bush would have to say he believes Rove is innocent
And note that he very pointedly is NOT saying that. He's not saying he thinks Rove did no wrong (like the Puke spin machine has been spitting out all weekend). He's saying to wait on the facts.

This lets Bush either (a) say, "See, nothing wrong" if Rove is exonerated, or (b) tell Rove to hit the trail if he's indicted.

If Bush actually knows what's going on then he's compelled to do something about it. Its not really surprising

12. Like that security briefing that indicated a terrorist attack threatened?
What was Bush "compelled" to do--besides scheduling a long vacation?

13. I guess I meant there would be an implicit public assumption
... an assumption that he would be compelled to do something. Of course it never works on them.

15. In matters of national security, bush is always "asleep at the wheel"
He is the most deliberately ignorant occupier of the Oval Office that one can imagine.

I don't think he's fooling anyone with his cover story about letting the investigation find the facts. He sure didn't waste any time in getting down to business in "finding the facts"about Wilson and his wife when that NYT op-ed appeared, now, did he?

passive and helpless, unknowing, unable, and non-responsible. Lowered expectations.
