What happened to Air America on Sirius
AAR isn't on Sirius anymore. What the hell happened.

1. There were rumors they were going to drop them 6 mos ago -
and we wrote complaints - that obviously didn't work. XM has AA, right?

5. Well, it wasn't really "rumors" since at that time they announced an
exclusive contract with XM :). It was already a done deal as of that time, it just didn't take effect until last week.

2. Sirius didn't think you would notice
They spent their wad on Howard Stern, Martha Stewart, the NFL, NASCAR, the NBA, and now they are trying to buy ABC Disney Radio. They just don't believe that you would care about little AAR.

EXCLUSIVELY. They left Sirius on the 11th. :(

7. It was a ca- ca move by Sirius......I guess AAR offered themselves
up for the 1st year at little to no income from either satellite provider.

So the time finally came when AAR said , "time to pay the piper its just due" and Sirius took a dive while XM said "sure, here is our checkbook".

8. It really upsets me
I chose Sirius in December PRECISELY to get AAR. And I pre-paid for a full year subscription.

Ah well, I'll switch to XM this December and tell them why.

10. I guess I was "lucky" that I paid quarterly instead of a full year, my
next billing date would have been today actually.

Yup, I told them why too. :)

11. Read about the workings of that exclusive deal, and you might choose...
to boycott AAR instead.

12. I agree, it is AAR to blame
I am sticking with Sirius, despite missing some of my favorites at AAR. Why did AAR have to go after a deal in which they would only be on XM or Sirius? If they want to spread the liberal message they should be on both providers. But, they chose the big bucks instead. I hope they can buy their way into a few more markets. If they come to central Iowa I will listen, but I won't go to clear channel's XM radio to listen to them.
