Another Rove lie regarding the email to Hadley:
Rove apparently says in the email that Cooper called to discuss welfare reform.

Cooper says he emailed Rove earlier that week something about welfare reform, but regarding the telephone conversation he specifically called Rove to talk about Wilson and the Time Op-Ed regarding Niger yellowcake. Says he didn't discuss welfare reform in the phone conversation with Rove.

Did Rove create this email to Hadley much later to cover his ass? And in looking over emails received earlier that week sees that Cooper had sent one about welfare reform, so he puts that in the fake email to Hadley to make it seem that it was written contemporaneously.

Cooper took notes and said he never discussed welfare reform with Rove.

I think we should consider that the email to Hadley was a latter day creation. Remember, Gonzalez asked the SP for an extra day before turning over notes and emails. I think they needed to "fix" a few things.

2. Wouldn't the email reflect the true date?
And can't that be traced on the computer some way? Maybe a computer guru can tell us if an email message can be faked so easily.

4. Interesting! But Rove'd need a computer guru to do it.
Also the timing would be tricky. When would he have done it? In the eleven hour gap between the Justice Dept. request for the records and Gonzales' message to preserve and assemble the records for compliance purposes, I suppose. But howt would Rove know what to say in that hiatus? I still remain doubtful, but I guess it's possible.

6. He wouldn't need a guru.
That was to change the date of an email already sent, and it was pretty straight forward.

Even easier - send yourself an email from last week. If you are on a windows system, right click on the bottom right where your date is displayed. From the popup menu, select date/time. Change the date. Now open your email program, send an email from whatever date you'd like. Right click on your date again, switch the date back to today.

5. That was a CYA e-mail
Man, I'd LOVE to sneak into Turdblossom's office and read his memos to file. Maybe even scan a few and send 'em to TheSmokingGun.com.

Come to think of, it, I wonder if Rove has pissed off anyone in the White(s-only) House to a sufficient level that they might, well, "borrow" a few documents and route them in a useful direction?
