90:10 is all well and good, but how many believed, on the eve of the war, that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction?

7. Since he didn't, why didn't we know?
We had special ops on the ground for several months. We apparently were communicating with military leaders and possibly paid them off. Since it's obvious Saddam didn't have WMD and certainly didn't have them ready to be used, why didn't we know that? What did the intelligence show about the actual existence of stockpiles and facilities? Even a program requires a facility to actually be a threat.

12. Even 50/50 Would be a Major Story

what this tells me is that DU types are energized and scanning all the news sites while Freepers are embarrassed, discouraged, defensive, and hiding in a hole somewhere.

But these issues keep going through group energy and momentum. The silent majority doesn't have the pull. The energy is all on our side now.

One advantage of having a bunch of whores in the media is that they will follow the ratings. If criticizing Bush causes higher ratings, we'll be seeing a lot more of the Niger-type articles.

17. So you've noticed it, too
the wingnuts have been quieter. The rageaholic bellowing is down to a simmer. They just don't know what to say. The Bushies hanging Tenet out on the Iraq/uranium fiasco has even the freeps silenced by its total unfairness.
How incredibly naive, stupid, uninformed, whatever, do you have to be at this point to believe that Hussein posed an imminent threat? When does your blind faith get overtaken by facts?

18. Isn't the pic on that page perfect... a sheepish/puzzled look
what... you don't believe me? I said its true and we know its true because I said its true (voice getting a little less assertive).. and true means we are telling the truth abut this truth... (aside: This always worked before what's going on... hey! cut off the Mike!)
