2. I guess the U.S. defense contractors were getting worried...
... that oil giants were getting too much of the Federal pie.

If China can scare us into another chilled-blended-frappacino war, they're probably lining up to beat us financially while we go nuts building the highest tech weapons and defense systems.

3. Only if the US targets China first.
This is what the general said.

"If the Americans draw their missiles and position guided ammunition
onto the target zone on China's territory, I think we will have to
respond with nuclear weapons."

" If the Americans are determined to interfere...we will be determined to respond."

"We Chinese will prepare ourselves for the destruction of all of the cities east of Xian. Of course the Americans will have to be prepared
that hundreds of cities will be destroyed by the Chinese."

And the context was based on if the United States attacks China over
Taiwan.

4. Oh my, they are challenging the Chimpenator
He will go Cuckoobanannas when Rove tells him this, though Rove will probably hold the news until after George AWOL Bush has another Guiness World Book record-setting vacation at the Imperial Pig Farm Upon Crawford

6. The entire 2 China situation is stupid
They are two separate countries with the same ethnicity but dramatically different culturally and socially.

If they were a married couple the rest of us would ask why can't they just finish with the divorce and move on?

Ethnic pride and nationalism always seem to be destructive...
