What happened to the RW radio hosts
who were going to Iraq to report the "good news"? Have they gone yet? I'm really looking forward to hearing their unbiased and uplifting accounts :eyes: ...anyone know if they've gone yet?

11. i read one excerpt from you fr link, saying how brave the young americans
are willing to fight for "what they say is worth it"

What total bullshit

Unless people have family over their, most of the Americans could care less. As far as being worth it, history will show that not only did we waste resources, but youn americans for nothing. In the end either Iraq will be in total civil war, or a Shitte theocracy

glorifying the horror of it all, which will result in a defeat worse than Nam

Remember the killing stopped in Viet Nam the momement we left

3. AAR's Morning sedition has a correspondent!
Planet Bush contributor Lawton Smalls has been reporting back. He especially likes the fireworks the locals provide to show the Americans how much they appreciate them!

Good stuff.

5. They apparently are there.
Here is some of the truth they are reporting:

" As we enter our third day in Bahgdad, there is much to report. I was unable to post yesterday, we were out most of the day. Believe it or not, there is power and wireless internet connectivity in the tents we are staying in but it is hit and miss as far as the strength of the signal."

"Yesterday, we walked alot in the heat and I really felt it today. It may have been dry heat, but at 122 degrees, it was hot."

"The cot I am sleeping on is comfortable and the tent is air conditioned. The women are sharing a tent with female soldiers that are transitioning to leave or go to other assignments. There are no mattresses for the cots, but the men's tent next door has all the mattresses. Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson says that probably when there aren't any women, the men steal the mattresses."

"Everyone is bracing for more terrorist activity, more disruption of daily life and more indiscriminate death. Who is the enemy? Both men agreed, its Al Qaeda in Iraq. The same enemy that exploded bombs in the London transportation system; the same enemy that attacked America on 9/11."

"Securing the borders so that terrorists don't continue to return to their training ground is another benchmark of Iraqi sovereignty. Smugglers on those borders have been moving goods and people for thousands of years. To end it now the Directorate of Border Enforcement is staffing forts to keep the uninvited out."

8. I think that just the fact that they are housed
in a tent on a military base, and apparently not allowed to roam freely, is the truth that matters.

They say that they will speak to soldiers and let them speak freely, but they have not done so yet, at least on the website. Don't know if they have broadcast anything. But what do they expect the guys to say? They're not going to say it's swell over there, and they're not going to scream into the microphone "GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE!". They're going to say that they are working hard to stabilize Iraq, and that they want to come home as soon as possible. If I was a soldier over there, I would likely say the same thing.

9. so the most positive thing that they can report is..
that they sleep in a tent with an air conditioner, and they have intermittent WiFi? Does that mean that wireless internet connections are running at pre-war standards? Mission Accomplished™!!!

14. "I WAS THERE, DAMN IT!!!!"
That's all they'll be screaming when they get back. They'll spin until they can support their own solar system to justify every word spewed from their lips, but they can now consider themselves credible and dare anyone to challenge them.

They were there :eyes:

7. Wanna bet they took a helicopter from the airport?!

At the very least they should be forced to make the drive to and from the airport in Baghdad.

How much you want to bet the cowards take a helicopter.

10. I was hoping that they would find it so wonderful that they would choose
not to leave . . . the Iraqis can keep them. Lord knows, they need to know all the "good" that our forces are doing for them, since they're having trouble seeing it . . .

Wow, What a Day!

My day started at 7:00 AM as I was going out on foot patrol with the Iraqi Army. Over the course of the day I went on 3 patrols and saw several trouble spots in the red zone.

Others in our group were taken to see the reconstruction projects as well as going on patrol and visiting an orphanage in the red zone adopted by our American Soldiers! I was 1/2 mile from the suicide bomber.

You should be so proud of the wonderful job our soldiers do. Children flock to the Humvees whenever they stop. It is no wonder the murdering terrorists have gone to the softest targets of all, children accepting candy and gifts from our soldiers!

Its 2:30 AM and we are now back in Kuwait. Many of us have had less than 10 hours sleep since Monday. One thing is certain, there is a ways to go, but, we are making significant progress towards turning Iraq over to the the Iraqi's.

Good Night and God Bless

Brad Maaske
